Online Marketing News, Events & Articles

Monthly Archives: November 2010

Every year at Thanksgiving we set aside some time to think about what we are thankful for. This year is no exception here at  As CEO I feel it’s important for me share a list of things I’m thankful this season both personally and on behalf of our team.

1. First and foremost, I am thankful for our innovative and motivated employees. Our team is undoubtedly at the core of our success. Without them we wouldn’t be who we are as a company and wouldn’t be able to do the great work we do! Plus they are a seriously fun group : )

2.I am thankful to be part of such a creative, fast-paced industry. Online marketing is ever-changing and while this can be challenging, it keeps on its toes. We’re never bored over here and it’s exciting to be a part of such a dynamic mix of companies and individuals.

3. I am thankful for the reporters and bloggers who have taken an interest in the work we do. It’s important for online marketers to stay up-to-date about the tools and technologies available to them. Articles such as this one from WebProNews allow us to educate marketers and improve their business. How and Why Remarketing Can Gain Back Lost Customers

4. I’m thankful all of our wonderful clients and affiliates. Working with people who share our passions makes our jobs feel a lot less like work.

5. I speak for all of my employees when I say most importantly I am thankful for my friends and family. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do the great work we do for every day.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!

    -Daniel Yomtobian, CEO

P.S. In the spirit of the holidays we are offering a 25% off keyword PPC marketing credit! Be sure to check out it…

The holidays have crept up on us, so to better prepare marketers our CEO decided to share his insights on shopping cart abandonment. Citing research from the National Federation of Retailers showing that 44 percent of consumers age 18 and older will shop online for holiday items this year, Daniel goes on to explain how retailers can use Remarketing to reach the 96% of website visitors who will leave without making a purchase.

With shopping cart abandonment at an all time high, remarketing allows marketers to get in front of those visitors who left the cart behind. Be sure to read through Daniel’s piece on Search Engine Watch for advice on keeping carts full this holiday season.

When we decided to attend Ad:Tech again this fall we had no idea what we were in for. The show ended up being one of the most action-packed conferences we’ve been to in quite awhile – a great sign for our economy! Everyone on the team was extremely busy for the duration of the show leaving us quite exhausted upon our return but exhilarated.  Check out our facebook gallery for pics from the show.

We started off Ad:Tech with a bang – watching our CEO Daniel Yomtobian speak at the press briefing alongside  companies like Google and LinkedIn.  Daniel announced our “Keyword Marketplace” to a packed room of press and members of the online marketing industry and the excitement didn’t stop there. With so many visitors at the booth our team barely had time to breathe. Scroll down to see the video.

In typical fashion we did make time to give away an iPad to one of our visitors, Peter Friedman from  Check out the video below to see the drawing.

Here are some follow-up questions we asked Peter:

-What is and what do you do for the company?

Gozomo is a mobile content company with operations in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Canada and soon to be in Mexico and Nigeria. I am a co-founder of the company.
    – Who was the first person you told after you won and what was their reaction?

The first person I told was my wife, who was thrilled that she was getting an IPad!

-Have you ever won anything else?

The last Ad:tech I attended I won a Nintendo Wii from Ezanga.

    – What do you plan on using the ipad for?

I will most likely use the Ipad when I travel in place of my Mac as its easier and lighter to travel with. I have also downloaded a few games and movies for my daughter on it.

Happy November! There’s nothing better than a trip to the Big Apple in the fall. Ad:tech New York kicks off this week, November 3-4. It’s the largest gathering of digital marketers. You know you want to be there!

The crew will naturally be at the show so come by booth #1512 and say hi. We’ll have news to announce at the show too — watch this space for details.
